Position: Neuro/Orthopedics Industry Writer 

Do you love writing about the Neuro and Orthopedic medical device markets? Do you have experience and/or knowledge of the medical device industry, neuro therapies and orthopedic enabling technologies?   If so, we would love to speak with you.

This experienced professional will be responsible for researching and developing content for our Neuro and Orthopedic-focused suite of business intelligence solutions. We’re looking for a conscientious team player who can work independently, write well and thrive in an entrepreneurial/small business environment. Ideally, this person has either a clinical and/or market research background and must have knowledge of neuro and orthopedic markets/devices.

About You
You have experience and knowledge of neuromodulation, neurovascular and orthopedics, enabling technology. You are intellectually curious and skilled at researching, analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources. You can easily communicate technical concepts through clear written communication. You are experienced in various research techniques including web searches, direct outreach, interviews, etc. You are comfortable working with a remote team and are excited to pitch in and help our growing business.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring, maintaining, and updating daily news, market and business information in neuromodulation, neurovascular, and orthopedic enabling tech industries as directed, including:  
  • Write SmartTRAK Daily Updates covering clinical trials, studies, patents, earnings calls, regulatory news, products, deals/financing, company announcements and market trends.
  • Conduct research on companies, products, and/or markets to assist in content updates and content creation i.e. product profiles, company profiles, financial results updates, etc.
  • Work with ortho and neuro analysts to ensure profiles are updated and follow editorial guidelines.
  • Assist in writing, editing and publishing articles to the website as assigned.
  • Assist in proofreading and editing SmartTRAK content including but not limited to Market Overviews, Analysis Articles, SmartTRAK Updates
  • Monitor quarterly company earnings calls and analyst reports as assigned updating content and writing SmartTRAK updates
  • Attend industry meetings (virtual or in-person) to gather clinical and industry news and write SmartTRAK updates as requested.
  • Provide support at SmartTRAK sponsored industry events as requested.
  • Be available to work on additional projects as assigned.
  • Provide vacation and other coverage for SmartTRAK Ortho/Neuro analysts as needed.
  • Professional communication internally.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in the medical device industry with strong writing and communication skills is required.
  • Experience and/or knowledge in Neuro therapies, and Orthopedic Enabling Technologies preferred.
  • Communicates well both verbally and in writing, shares information and ideas with others, and has good listening skills.
  • Is attentive to detail and accuracy, is committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, monitors quality levels, finds root cause of quality problems, owns/acts on quality problems.
  • Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles change, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and conducting online research.
  • Multi-tasking various projects and assignments.
  • Writing samples required.
  • Individuals without medical device experience will not be considered.
