3.41 Deals
Deals refer to acquisitions, distribution agreements, mergers, licensing agreements and any type of strategic partnerships between companies.
When writing updates on deals, link to the verb. Verbs commonly used to convey deals include entered, awarded, acquired, signed, announced, etc.
If the other company entering into the agreement has a Company Profile in SmartTRAK, add a link to the Company Profile (e.g., Spinal Resources and Onkos Surgical in the examples below).
3.42 Financing
Financing updates refer to the raising of capital, sale of stock, divestiture of assets, pubic offering, grants received, contracts awarded and closing of equity offerings.
When writing financing updates, link to the verb. Commonly used verbs include secured, closed, granted, awarded, received, announced, etc.
When covering a Financing update with foreign currencies such as Euros, SEK, etc., convert foreign currency into US dollars and use a tilda "~" in front of the US dollar amount and follow with the foreign currency in parentheses.
