3.8 Announcements
3.81 Announcements are reserved for personnel changes (e.g., new CEO or VP Business Development), new or expanded facilities or other top level company information that does not fit into the other categories.
3.82 Just because a press release says that a company “announces” something, does not mean it should be tagged as an Announcement. For example, if Stryker announces a strategic alliance with XYZ Company, it should be tagged under Deals/Financing NOT Announcements. Or if Zimmer Biomet announces that a product received 510(k) clearance, it should be tagged as Clinical/Regulatory and not announcements.
