SmartTRAK is looking for a strategic-minded professional with a strong sales and/or marketing background in the orthopedic med device space, ideally with some experience in software or enterprise solutions, but not necessary. A foundation in general orthopedics is essential, and familiarity with biologics is a plus. What You’ll Do
As Senior Director of Sales, you’ll lead enterprise sales efforts across major Orthopedic and Biologics companies. Your mission is to sell SmartTRAK’s suite of SaaS and intelligence solutions to C-level executives and senior stakeholders at Orthopedic companies, while building long-term, strategic partnerships that deliver measurable value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the full enterprise sales cycle — from prospecting to close and beyond
- Identify and pursue high-value accounts and opportunities within the orthopedic industry
- Communicate and demonstrate the value of SmartTRAK to decision-makers across departments (C-Suite, Marketing, R&D, BD, Finance, etc.)
- Craft tailored sales proposals and close complex software and consulting deals
- Deliver engaging product demos and provide onboarding/training to key stakeholders at Orthopedic companies
- Partner with Marketing to support campaigns and content that accelerate pipeline
- Drive platform adoption and long-term client engagement
- Travel as needed to strengthen client relationships (~40%)
- Actively contribute to SmartTRAK’s sales culture and team growth
What Sets You Apart
- 10+ years of sales or marketing experience in the medical device (preferably Orthopedic), healthcare data, or analytics industries
- Extensive contacts in the Orthopedic (Total Joints, Trauma/Extremity, Sports and Biologics) industry
- A proven record of closing large, complex deals with C-level executives
- In-depth knowledge of the orthopedic and/or biologics markets
- Strong consultative selling skills — you listen, solve, and build trust
- Confident communicator with exceptional presentation and negotiation abilities
- A strategic thinker who can identify opportunities and align value to business objectives
- Experience selling SaaS or data/analytics platforms is a big plus
- Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot/Salesforce) and Microsoft Office
